Where to even begin with you, 2020?! Probably the most up and down year I've experienced thus far, in good ways and in bad. I'm not much for new year resolutions (too much pressure, never enough follow-through), but I do love setting an intention for the year and picking one word to encompass that feeling. Entering 2020, my word was stillness. Little did I know how relevant that word would really be. For me, 2020 was the year of slowing down, sitting with myself, finding clarity, and letting go. It was hard and it was beautiful. Here are some of the most notable highs, lows, and faves.

Highs:

- Completing my 300-hr yoga teacher training at The River Yoga (hello RYT-500!)

- Starting school at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and creating Soulbeam

- Leaving a toxic job that didn't serve me and stepping into health coaching full-time

- Dedicating myself to some type of joyful movement each day

- Spending all day every day with Will + Winn <3

- My best friend moving 10 minutes away

- Buying our first house!


Lows:

- Battling those feelings of isolation, loneliness, discouragement, and uncertainty

- Missing out on important moments with family

- Too much social media, not enough authentic connection

- Zoom taking over my life

- Questioning my worth and value in this crazy world Favorites:

- Album: Folklore by Taylor Swift

- TV Show: Euphoria (if I'm being cool) and Love Island (if I'm being honest)

- Movement: Peloton rides with Cody Rigsby and yoga with Samy Mattei

- Book: Spirit Hacking by Shaman Durek and How to Change Your Mind by Michael Pollan

- Purchase: Bala Bangles and Uggs (bringing em back, baby!)

- Comfort Food: Honey Nut Cheerios w/almond milk I'm proud of this year. It wasn't perfect, but it was exactly what I needed. Here's to another one full of more stillness, more growth, more love <3
