February Produce Guide

February is that weird in-between where you *almost* feel like the worst of winter is over and spring is just around the corner, but there's also that sense of impending doom that a blizzard could come at any moment. In Colorado, 70 degrees + sunny or 10 degrees + 2 feet of snow are both perfectly normal February occurrences. I'm still in full nesting mode - (1) because it's the latter option and freezing right now and (2) because we just moved into our new house and I'm fully taking advantage of designing a clean space from scratch. Literally the BEST feeling and I'm loving every minute of it. With the busyness of this month (moving out of one house, moving into another, work, life, all the things), I've been relying a lil bit too much on the Trader Joe's freezer section + my BFF DoorDash, so I'm stoked to get back in the kitchen and make all the yummy healthy goodness. Here is some in-season produce on my shopping list this month!

  • Cabbage

  • Cauliflower

  • Sumo Citrus

  • Leeks

  • Fennel

  • Avocado

  • Bok Choy

  • Kiwi

  • Mango

  • Mushrooms

  • Sweet Onions

  • Pears

I'm planning on making a kiwi + mango + avocado smoothie this week and buying out Whole Foods' entire stock of sumo citrus. What is your fave February treat? :)
