No Bake Protein Balls

I am a bar junkie. I admit it. LOVE a good bar. While there are some ride or die brands I do love and support (I'm lookin at you Bobo's!), so many bars on the market just have trash ingredients. Sugar on sugar on sugar, things you can't pronounce, etc. Lately, I've gotten more into experimenting with making my own bars and snacks, which have all turned out soooo good. One of my fave things as of late is to throw the entire pantry in a bowl and see what happens! This no bake protein ball recipe is a result of just that. And they are GOOOOOOD. This is for more of a trail mix vibe, but you can literally use whatever ingredients you love or have on hand. Here's what you do:

  • Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups of rolled oats

  • 1 cup of granola butter or any nut butter

  • 2 scoops of protein powder (chocolate or vanilla)

  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds

  • 1/4 cup raisins

  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips

  • 3 tablespoons flax powder

  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup

  • Dash of vanilla extract

  • Almond milk (if it feels too dry)

  • Directions

  • Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. If it's too wet, add more oats. If it's too dry, add almond milk. It should be just doughy enough to stick together on its own. Form into balls and let set in freezer for 10 minutes. If you plan to eat within the week, store them in an airtight container in the fridge. If you want to save them for later, they keep in the freezer for about a month!! Just let them sit on the counter for an hour or two to thaw and you're good to go :)

Enjoy!!
